Description
Looking for an enthusiastic Mixer Driver to join our team at the Grimsby Concrete Plant. The role involves delivering concrete safely and efficiently across Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire. Full training on our products and processes will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver concrete safely and efficiently.
- Liaise and build positive relationships with the internal Distribution Team and internal/external customers.
- Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritising the health, safety and environmental standards of Breedon.
- Work closely with the area Transport Manager to optimise delivery schedules and routes.
- Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
The successful candidate will have a flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work. Energetic “hands on” attitude, ability to anticipate problems, consider solutions and negotiate collaboratively with colleagues is required.
Experience of HGV driving with a valid class C licence and a current driver CPC. A strong knowledge of the local area is preferred and experience delivering concrete is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided. Flexible approach to variable hours with availability for occasional nights and weekends.
