Job Overview

Our client is looking for a reliable Loading Shovel Operator to start tomorrow in Needingworth.

Duties

• Precisely scooping materials from excavation areas or stockpiles using the loading shovel.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Collaborate with team members to execute tasks effectively, adhering to project timelines.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly for resolution.
• Perform daily machine checks, reporting defects, and maintaining operational records.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid driver’s licence appropriate for operating heavy machinery.
• Experience operating excavators is highly desirable, along with familiarity with other agricultural or construction machinery.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in all operations.

Pay & Hours

The role is paying £22ph on a 10 hour day. The hours will be 07:00hrs to 17:00hrs.
