1:1 Specialist SEND Support Assistant (Complex SEND Needs)

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and highly skilled Specialist SEND Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with complex SEND needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing design and implementation of strategies and interventions outlined within the child’s EHCP.
• Helping the child access learning, building positive relationships, and ensuring safety and support throughout the school day.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Proven experience working with children with complex SEND.
• Understanding of autism-informed, trauma-aware and low-arousal approaches.
• Ability to remain calm and consistent during periods of dysregulation.
• Skilled at adapting communication and supporting emotional regulation.
• Ability to build trusting, positive relationships with children and families.
