What will you be doing?

As a Reliability Technician for British Engineering Services Group, you will support our Asset Reliability division by collecting condition monitoring data whilst building your technical capability. This is a role with a clear progression path to a Reliability Engineer position upon achieving your VA2 qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Collect vibration data on‑site using company‑approved equipment in line with technical standards
  • Support additional condition monitoring activities such as lubrication, thermography and ultrasonic testing (full training provided)
  • Accurately record data and maintain asset databases and internal systems
  • Ensure equipment is used correctly, maintained and calibrated
  • Work closely with the Unit Leader and Operations team to meet service schedules
  • Represent the business professionally on client sites and communicate effectively with customers
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices at all times
  • Travel to sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays
  • Continuously develop your technical skills, progressing towards a Reliability Engineer role

Requirements

  • A strong mechanical background, ideally with experience working with motors, gearboxes or bearings
  • A keen interest in developing a career in condition monitoring and reliability engineering
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office and data entry systems)
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
