Service Line: Mental Health Adults (Female Acute services)
Salary & Contract
Salary: £34,527 per year. Contract duration: Fixed term from now until Dec 2027.
Site Summary
Cygnet Woking/Woking Lodge is a 94‑bedded hospital with a variety of wards, including locked rehab wards (male), low‑secure services (male and female), acute wards (male and two female), and a PICU (female). The environment is holistic, featuring a gym, ADL kitchen, Recovery College, Hair Salon, library, tuck‑shop and other therapeutic spaces.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment and treatment of occupational needs on the female acute ward (Kahlo) under the supervision of a senior Occupational Therapist.
- May hold supervisory responsibility for others and take a leadership role in specific projects.
- Support student education within the team.
- Work collaboratively with psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, mental‑health support workers and ward admin staff as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Collaborate with qualified OTs, OTAs and activity coordinators within the OT team.
Qualifications
- Registered Occupational Therapist (HCPC registered or equivalent).
- Experience working in a mental‑health adult setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and reference check; offer of employment will be subject to successful completion.
