Multi-skilled Shift Engineer

Shift Engineer – Leeds Permanent

Salary: £53,000 – £62,000 per annum. Location: Leeds.

Working a 12‑hour rota of two days, two nights, and four off:

• Day shift: 06:00-18:00
• Night shift: 18:00-06:00

Key Responsibilities

• Respond rapidly to breakdowns across automated production and packaging lines.
• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance using CMMS systems such as SAPPM.
• Diagnose and repair faults on motors, drives, PLCs, and control panels.
• Support improvement projects and drive operational reliability.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and engineering teams.
• Maintain strict health, safety, and quality standards.

Who We’re Looking For

• Electrical and/or mechanical qualification (NVQ Level3 or above, ONC/HNC preferred).
• Fault‑finding and diagnostic experience in FMCG, food, or regulated manufacturing.
• Skilled in reactive maintenance and structured problem‑solving.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAPPM or similar).
• A proactive, safety‑first mindset and strong teamwork skills.
