Road Sweeper Driver – Quarrington Site

About the Role: At Panda, we deliver reliable waste and recycling services that support local communities and businesses. Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Road Sweeper Driver plays an essential part in maintaining clean, safe environments across our sites and client locations.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate road sweeping vehicles across assigned routes or designated areas.
• Perform sweeping activities to a high standard, ensuring clean and safe environments in accordance with health & safety regulations.
• Conduct pre‑use vehicle checks, report any issues or defects promptly, and complete all relevant paperwork accurately, including route logs and vehicle inspection forms.
• Work safely at all times, strictly following site, transport, and road regulations.
• Act as the face of the company, providing a professional, helpful, and friendly service on‑site.
• Support the wider transport and depot team at the Quarrington site to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, up‑to‑date Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience operating road sweepers is highly beneficial; training on our fleet will be provided.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices, driver compliance, and daily defect checks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a practical, customer‑focused attitude.
• Commitment to the 14:00 – 22:00 shift, Monday to Friday, based out of Quarrington.
