Bid Manager (M&E) – Slough

We are seeking an experienced M&E Bid Manager to lead and deliver high‑quality tender submissions from initial opportunity through to contract award. This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing the full bid lifecycle, ensuring commercial competitiveness, and driving successful outcomes across Mechanical & Electrical projects.
You’ll act as a central interface between Sales, Operations, and senior leadership, ensuring all bids are compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with company strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full bid process from opportunity assessment through to submission and negotiation
- Lead and coordinate estimating and bid teams to produce accurate, competitive tenders
- Review and produce PQQs, tender responses, and technical submissions
- Identify and assess new opportunities, advising on bid/no‑bid decisions
- Develop clear, compelling written proposals and client presentations
- Manage tender portals and ensure all submissions meet client specifications and deadlines
- Provide commercial insight and pricing strategy to maximise profitability
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clientsAnalyse bid outcomes and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Support the development of pricing models, reporting tools, and best practice across the business
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration between Sales, Mobilisation, and Operations teams
About You
- Proven experience in Bid Management within M&E or building services
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in pricing and tender strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced IT skills, particularly Excel and Microsoft Office
