Home Manager | Elderly Care | Bedale, North Yorkshire
Stephen James Consulting is partnering with a growing elderly care provider to recruit an experienced Home Manager for a brand-new, purpose-built 72-bed nursing, residential, and dementia care home in North Yorkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly opened service and play a key role in establishing the home’s reputation, developing the team, and driving occupancy growth. The home provides high-quality, person‑centred care within a premium self‑funding environment and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a real impact during the next stage of its journey.
The provider is seeking a commercially aware and visible leader with previous home management and commissioning experience. The successful candidate will be a strong people manager, capable of building positive relationships, creating a positive culture, and delivering excellent operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and direction across all areas of the home
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and excellent outcomes for residents
- Drive occupancy, reputation, and overall commercial performance of the service
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
- Lead, support, and develop the management and care teams
- Monitor quality and performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve operational objectives
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and stakeholders
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Home Manager within elderly care services
- Previous commissioning experience
- Nursing background essential (active NMC PIN not required)
- Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
- Proven ability to drive occupancy and commercial performance
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards
- Passion for delivering outstanding care and creating positive outcomes for residents
This role offers a salary of £65,000 per annum plus an occupancy-related bonus, depending on experience.
