Job Overview

Pupil Transport Minibus Driver Part‑Time | Term‑Time Only (18.5 hours per week, 34 weeks per year) – Worth School is looking for 3 drivers to provide a safe, welcoming and dependable transport service for pupils.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely transport pupils to and from school and other approved locations.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and weekly under‑bonnet inspections to keep the minibus roadworthy and compliant.
• Keep accurate records of journey mileage and pupil attendance.
• Complete routine vehicle administration and maintenance checks.
• Report any vehicle defects, damage or concerns promptly to the Transport Manager.
• Help keep minibuses clean, presentable and ready for use.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive environment for pupils during the journey.

What We’re Looking For

• Essential: D1 driving licence; confident and competent driving skills; basic vehicle maintenance knowledge; understanding of child protection and safeguarding responsibilities; commitment to ongoing professional and personal development.
• Desirable: Current First Aid qualification; previous professional driving experience; experience working in a school or educational setting.
