We are looking for a Network Optimisation Manager to lead the function responsible for turning network data, technical evidence, incident learning and asset intelligence into measurable improvement across the GRIDSERVE EV charging network. This is a senior operational leadership role, not a passive reporting role. The successful candidate will lead Tier 2, Tier 3, the Interoperability Lab and EV technical asset management activity, with direct accountability for improving reliability, availability, remote resolution, supplier escalation quality and cost to serve. The JD defines the role as responsible for converting fault trends and asset insight into permanent corrective action and verified operational benefit.
A career in GRIDSERVE Operations is for people who want to build, improve and operate critical infrastructure with purpose. We are moving beyond reactive maintenance into disciplined, data-led operational maturity: understanding root causes, removing recurring failure modes and creating a network that customers can rely on. This is a team where ownership matters, evidence matters, and leadership means creating the conditions for others to think clearly, act decisively and improve the system around them.
What you will lead
You will:
- Lead the Network Optimisation function across Tier 2, Tier 3, Interoperability Lab and EV asset insight.
- Improve triage, remote repair, ticket quality and Field Service hand-off.
- Lead deep-dive investigations into complex and recurring EV network issues.
- Use data, telemetry, service history, OEM systems and Field Service evidence to identify systemic failure modes.
- Own monthly EV Operations insight reporting, focused on what happened, why it happened and what action is required.
- Challenge OEMs and suppliers with clear technical evidence.
- Support Field Service with better diagnosis, playbooks, repeat-fault analysis and targeted improvement campaigns.
- Ensure lessons learned are converted into operating standards, corrective actions and measurable network improvement.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who combines:
- Technical credibility in EV charging, energy infrastructure, systems engineering, asset performance or mission-critical operations.
- Strong people leadership across analysts, engineers or technical specialists.
- Evidence-led problem solving and root-cause discipline.
- Confidence working with OEM portals, CPMS/back-office platforms, telemetry, payment systems, dashboards and operational data.
- The ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Calm judgement under pressure during incidents and high-visibility service failures.
- The discipline to separate fact, assumption, hypothesis and conclusion.
This role will suit someone who can lead people, challenge weak assumptions, turn complex operational information into clear action, and help build a best-in-class network.
