N nAs ahighly experienced Delivery Manager in Sainsbury’s Tech you’ll collaborate with our Product, Engineering, and business teams to lead the delivery across multiple initiatives, contributing towards key strategic outcomes and programmes to generate customer, colleague, and business value. With a significant uplift in tech investment in the coming years, we have lots of transformational initiatives to deliver in Sainsbury’s Tech and the Delivery Manager role will play a key part in our success to ensure delivery excellence. N nMoreabout the role: NnThe role will be both hands-on delivery & line management of 2+ Delivery Managers & oversight of those initiatives. NThrough partnering with multiple cross functional teams in Data & Tech and stakeholders across the business, own the delivery of new data products and complex changes in an agile environment. NTailor delivery approaches and methodologies, whilst setting up governance frameworks that are appropriate for the outcomes being delivered. NBuild and maintain underpinned plans, including deployments and rollout schedules. NManage stakeholders and define RACIs to ensure proper ownership of artefacts, decisions, and deliverables. NIdentify, anticipate, manage and communicate key risks, issues and dependencies, removing blockers for teams. NWork collaborativelywith Engineering, Product and other Delivery Managers to align on cross squad dependencies, surfacing and dealing with conflicting demands, escalating where necessary. NUtilise strong influencing skills to drive decision making with teams, stakeholders and with the Tech leadership. NReport progress against key milestones regularly to all stakeholders and into Tech governance forums. NConduct post implementation reviews to drive a culture of continuous improvement and proven value delivery, ensuring that learnings are fed through the wider Tech approach to delivery. NActively contribute to the Delivery Community of Practice. Nn nMore about you: NnExtensive experience working as a Delivery/Programme Manager, supporting and managing the delivery of complex multi-team initiatives within a technical landscape bridging the gap between business strategy & engineering execution including: NnETL/ELT & Data Pipeline knowledge NData Modelling & Architecture NData Quality & Governance NData observability NCloud data ecosystems NnnPrior experienceof managing a team of delivery professionals to create a high-performing team. NProven experience inAgile/Scrum and Waterfall planning and successful delivery. NExperience of working in a complex matrix organisation. NExperience with managing compliance – Legal, regulatory, contractual, privacy, infosec, architecture. NHighly proficient instatus tracking and reporting, RAIDD, with experience of working with a company-wide governance framework. NProven experience inmanaging key change delivery activities such as task planning, workforce planning, service transition, post implementation review, value delivery management. NStrong organisational and prioritisation skills, as well as the ability to analyse and solve problems logically. NBold, curious, and resilient. Comfortable with driving decision making, challenging assumptions and taking risks. NHighly effective at developing and maintaining strong working relationships across the business working in an authentic way. NExperience working with and managing 3rd party technology partners/vendors. NStrong communicationskills to convey key messages, tailoring your approach as required to different audiences. NParticipate in technical detail, showing an understanding of the technical landscape whilst describing technical choices and trade-offs to stakeholders and leadership. NUnderstanding of project/change budgets and how to manage them. Nn nEssential Criteria: NnExtensive experience as a Programme/Delivery Manager ideally in a Commercial/Supply Chain/Retail Tech domain, supporting and managing the delivery of complex multi-team data products within a technical landscape and matrix organisation. NHighly proficient inbuilding delivery plans, status tracking & reporting, RAIDD within Atlassian’s Jira Software and Jira Product Discovery products. NExperience delivering change within a regulated & compliant technical landscape & into business operations – partnering with Legal, regulatory, compliance, privacy, information security, architecture & service teams. NProven experience inmanaging technical & business stakeholders to deliver key change activities across multiple teams concurrently, such as task planning, workforce planning, system integration, quality management and testing, data migration, service transition, post implementation review, value delivery management and project / change budgets. NHighly effective at developing and maintaining strong working relationships with 3rd party technology partners/vendors. NCertifications – at least one of the below: NnProject/Program management frameworks: PMBOK, APM, PRINCE2 or similar NAgile PM, SAFe Release Train Engineer / SAFe Agilist or similar Nnn…
