Night Patient Care Assistant

Job Title and Location

Night Patient Care Assistant – Wicstun, Market Weighton – Permanent, part‑time 28 hours per week, 8pm – 8am; 4 nights on, 8 nights off on a rolling rota (incl. bank holidays and weekends).

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfection and preparation of patient accommodation.
• Actively maintain the hospital and follow infection control procedures, including sterilising and deep cleaning.
• Assist with reception and client care, answering telephone, dealing with enquiries, booking procedures and taking payments.
• Support Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and other staff when required.
• Work and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Demonstrate reliability, adaptability, understanding and empathy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Enthusiastic and motivated with a keen interest in animal care. Reliable, adaptable, empathetic, and able to work effectively within a team alongside veterinarians and nurses.
