About the Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

  • Transport packaging materials to production sites and deliver finished yoghurt products to the logistics site.
  • Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
  • Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top‑notch vehicle safety and reliability.
  • Maintain regular communication with the transport office to provide updates on delivery progress and respond to any changes or issues in real time.
  • Represent the company professionally at every delivery point, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with store teams.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, including refresher courses and updates on industry regulations, to keep your skills sharp and compliant.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • You must hold a valid UK Class 1 CE licence, enabling you to operate articulated vehicles with confidence and professionalism.
  • A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Previous experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • We’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, representing our brand with professionalism and care at every stop.
  • You’ll need to be comfortable working to tight schedules, managing your time effectively to ensure deliveries are made promptly and safely.
  • A confident and polite communicator, you’ll work closely with colleagues across transport and logistics, contributing to a supportive and efficient team environment.
  • A good understanding of UK road network, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions, will help you navigate routes efficiently and avoid delays.

  • Competitive Salary: £17.50 per hour, based on 11.25 hours per shift. PLUS for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.
