Main Duties of the Job
Job Title: Part Time Patient Care Advisor (16 hours a week) with lots of overtime potential
Location: Cross site at Spinney Medical Centre and Eccleston Medical Centre
Responsibilities: The Patient Care Advisor / Administrator is responsible for providing high-quality administrative and front-line support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. The postholder will deliver excellent patient service, manage appointments and enquiries efficiently, maintain accurate patient records, and support the clinical and management teams in delivering safe, patient-centred care.
- Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Managing telephone calls, appointment bookings, and patient enquiries
- Processing prescriptions, referrals, and administrative documentation
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in line with practice policies
- Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team with administrative tasks
- Ensuring compliance with NHS regulations, data protection, and confidentiality standards
- Assisting with general office duties to support the effective operation of the practice
The successful candidate will have experience in a customer-facing or administrative role, ideally within a healthcare or GP practice environment. They will be organised, approachable, and able to work effectively in a busy setting while maintaining a professional and compassionate manner.

Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Business Administration or Customer Service (desirable)
- Evidence of commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
