In this role, you will balance exceptional customer delivery with business needs, working collaboratively with colleagues and teams to achieve the best outcomes. As part of the Maintenance team, you will help ensure that our Distribution Centre and RSU sites remain safe, compliant, and fully operational for both customers and colleagues. Working to planned maintenance schedules, you will strive to achieve first‑time fixes, improving efficiency and effectiveness while minimising disruption to operations.
You will work closely with team members, sharing knowledge and best practice to support continuous improvement, while undertaking a variety of day‑to‑day maintenance activities. Using mobile technology, including phones and tablets, you will effectively manage work completion, provide timely updates, and ensure accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring a safe environment and challenging all observed unsafe actions by colleagues or contractors.
- To restore, improve & maintain plant & equipment in order to achieve optimum performance, while working safely at all times.
- Building effective relationships with the leadership teams, communicating clearly on tasks and managing expectations where necessary.
- When problems occur within a scheduled task, use own initiative to rectify the situation.
- When completing any tasks, report any required follow up work via the CMMS at the same time as notifying the Engineering Manager.
- Driven by a culture of continuous improvement, through the use of problem solving tools and participation in WCM AM/PM/5S projects.
- Lead improvement projects and machine modifications when nominated.
- Actively work towards the continued development of the stock control system for maintenance spares.
- Responsible for the completion of daily and weekly tasks in a timely manner, adopting an analytical approach to problem solving using tools, to identify the root cause of failures, proposing appropriate corrective/sustaining actions.
- Using the systems available to accurately record work completed and describing work which needs to be escalated.
- Working closely with internal service teams and external contractors.
- Meeting the necessary legal and compliance standards.
- Attending meetings to ensure there is an understanding of maintenance issues and their level of urgency.

Experience relevant for this job:
- Maintenance and/or engineering experience
- Exposure to CMMS services e.g. Verisae, SAP, Maximo
- Completed a Maintenance/Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Experience in working in automated environment.
