We are seeking a qualified (new or recently qualified) Senior Accountant to join a professional services firm in Leeds. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Base pay range

Competitive salary of approximately £50,000, with flexibility in working arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage financial statements and reports
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors as required
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies
• Support the Accounting & Finance department with ad‑hoc tasks

Qualifications

• A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Practice or industry experience
• Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
