A welcoming and supportive primary school in Middlesbrough is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 and helping them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Supporting pupils with varying learning abilities and additional needs where required.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Supporting classroom activities, educational visits and school events where required.
• Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

• Have previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Be patient, nurturing and enthusiastic.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Be confident supporting pupils across different year groups and abilities.
• Have experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable).
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
• Have a fully checkable work history.
