MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (PERMANENT NIGHTS)

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance EngineerLocation: Sleaford, LincolnshireSalary: £51,500 + OvertimeShift: Permanent Nights – 36 Hours Per Week

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business. Working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of automated production and packaging equipment. The role will involve both reactive and planned maintenance activities, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and downtime is minimised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance across manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Responding effectively to equipment breakdowns and production issues.
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Fault finding on automated machinery and production systems.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
  • Recognised engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled).
  • Experience carrying out reactive, preventative and breakdown maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience within food, FMCG, packaging or automated manufacturing environments.
  • PLC fault-finding experience using inputs and outputs.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • 18th Edition
