About NHS Scotland Academy
The NHS Scotland Academy (NHSSA) is a partnership between NHS Golden Jubilee and Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSDS), funded by the Scottish Government, to deliver accelerated training for a wide range of health and social care roles and professions. NHSSA offers training programmes linked to workforce need, recruitment and career progression. It supports NHS Scotland to develop additional capacity and capability and responds to evolving workforce requirements, helping to ensure the health and social care workforce is prepared for future needs in Scotland.
The Job Role
We are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest and enthusiasm in clinical education and workforce development to join the NHSSA team as an Assistant Clinical Educator within perioperative practice (Band 6). This post is offered on a fixed-term or secondment basis for a period of two years, until September 2028.
Responsibilities
- Support learners undertaking NHSSA National Perioperative Programmes, ensuring delivery of a high-quality learning experience.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programmes as part of the NHS Scotland Academy team.
- Work primarily within NHS Golden Jubilee, with occasional travel to other locations as required.
- Utilise flexible working arrangements as applicable to the role.
