Apply for the Head of Operations
Location: Belfast
Job Description:

Our client is a successful engineering manufacturer with an outstanding reputation for designing and manufacturing specialist capital equipment. Strong demand for its high-quality products, together with its reputation for service and long-standing customer relationships, has created significant growth opportunities across the UK and Europe. To support this continued growth, the company is now seeking to appoint a Head of Operations as a key member of its Senior Leadership Team.

If you enjoy creating order from complexity, building capable teams and establishing the systems, standards and disciplines that underpin operational excellence, this is a role where you can make a lasting difference.

Reporting to the Managing Director, and leading a team of approximately 30 across Production, Supply Chain and Logistics, you will establish the operational structure, controls and disciplines that create a high-performing manufacturing environment. Through visible leadership, you will embed a culture centred on Safety, Quality and Delivery, introducing clear KPIs, performance standards and management routines that strengthen accountability and operational performance.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will improve production planning and workflow, maximise the capability of Microsoft Business Central, develop frontline leaders, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and embed Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement throughout the operation.

You will be a proven operational leader from an engineering or manufacturing environment who thrives on leading change. An engaging communicator with resilience, drive and a hands-on approach, you will enjoy bringing people with you, developing high-performing teams and creating the operational foundations that enable a business to grow with confidence.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of an ambitious manufacturing business while making a genuine and lasting impact. The role has a highly competitive salary, bonus and benefits package and further career development potential.
