About the role

Would you like to be part of a team that creates a safe, inclusive and engaging residential experience where no two days are the same?

We are recruiting for a Residential Engagement Officer who will play a vital role in shaping the student experience within our Residential Village. You will be a visible, trusted and approachable role model, supporting Further Education, Higher Education and Apprenticeship students aged 16–25 to develop independence, life skills and confidence.

You will:

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate a varied programme of evening and weekend enrichment activities that enhance the student experience
  • Provide inclusive activities that support social, emotional, physical and vocational development
  • Support students in a person‑centred way, recognising individual needs including SEND, EHCP outcomes and support plans
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting independence, resilience and positive behaviours
  • Co‑coordinate on‑site and off‑site activities, including trips, volunteering and cultural experiences
  • Support and promote EDI events, student‑led activities and engagement initiatives
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment, responding appropriately to safeguarding and wellbeing concerns
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams, parents/carers and external agencies to support student success
