RSRT Senior Therapist

Are you an experienced therapist looking to make a real difference at community level? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a project that is helping to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

Inspire Wellbeing is recruiting a compassionate and driven RSRT Senior Therapist to join our Mental Health and Addiction Services team working on the Right Support Right Time project. This is a cross -border initiative delivered by Inspire in partnership with Mencap, Cedar Foundation, Apex, Respond, Depaul and the British Red Cross.

As an RSRT Senior Therapist, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred mental health support within community-based services. You will carry out standardised psychological assessments and develop clear, advanced formulations to guide the delivery of time-limited counselling interventions for people aged 16 and over.

You will play a key role in promoting early help-seeking, reducing barriers to access, and strengthening community connections. The role offers the opportunity to work creatively and flexibly, supporting resilience and recovery while helping to build healthier, more connected communities.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about innovative, compassionate mental health care. You will contribute to the development of a trauma-informed, community-focused service model and work as part of a team committed to inclusion, safety, collaboration, and high-quality care.

The Right Support Right Time project is supported by the PEACEPLUS Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

?? What You’ll Bring

To be shortlisted, you’ll need:

? A Professional Diploma in Counselling covering psycho-dynamic, CBT and humanistic models of intervention or a person-centred approach AND accredited membership with voluntary assured professional standards governing bodies (e.g., BACP, BABCP, NCPS Professional Registrant Accreditation, UKCP or equivalent).

? 5 years’ post qualifying experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy, 3 years of which should include experience of providing clinical guidance, and direction in the assessment and management of risk and complex case presentations.

? A minimum of 450 hours of supervised clinical practice.

? Experience of working with individuals experiencing or recovering from Addiction issues, Mental Health issues and/or Self Harm.

? Experience of providing line management and clinical supervision to employed and associate counsellors.

? Experience of delivering training to external stakeholders or employees.

? Experience of liaising with multidisciplinary mental health, addiction and allied professionals to deliver on an outcome based programme.

? Experience of assessment, management, and escalation of risk and or serious safeguarding concerns and including liaising with GP’s, multidisciplinary mental health, and allied professionals.

? Experience of undertaking standardised clinical assessments, formulation and delivering evidence-based or specialist treatment.

? A full current driving licence and access to a car (or reasonable adjustments where applicable)

? Flexibility to work across various locations.

?? Salary: £37,964.53 – £42,925.61(Higher than the current NHS Band 6 equivalent)
