Job Overview

Act as a key financial partner to senior stakeholders across commercial divisions, fostering strong collaboration and influencing outcomes. Work closely with the business to deliver transformation initiatives and drive sustainable profitability across the areas on scope.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and integration of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long‑term financial plans across both UK operations and the wider portfolio (RIE, PFH, MTI, PAV), ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, financial discipline, and sustainable growth.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support scenario planning and informed decision‑making, while preparing and presenting comprehensive management reports—including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet analysis—to guide strategic and operational discussions.
  • Oversee monthly financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results in alignment with company and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, while actively engaging with auditors to address queries related to financial performance and reporting.
  • Lead and contribute to cross‑functional projects aimed at enhancing financial systems, reporting, and processes by identifying and implementing best practices in financial planning and analysis, while driving standardisation and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight generation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet business needs and support team development whilst enhancing team capabilities in financial analysis and reporting to foster an engaged culture of continuous learning and high performance. Working in partnership with commercial teams, providing financial frameworks to assess core KPIs and contract performance assessment to ensure these are aligned against the overall business profitability objectives.
  • Responsible for owning and comprehensively understanding all financial statements, providing strong financial insight guidance, supporting the commercial stakeholder with tactical planning and influencing strategic and financially viable decisions. Identifying risk factors and implementing remedial action, maximising opportunities within commercial portfolio through value‑add solutions.
  • To lead and drive strategic financial transformation by demonstrating innovation, commercial influence whilst upholding governance, financial regulation, and compliance. Integrate cash position, commercial P&L and variances against the agreed budget, drive concentrated cost management to optimise spend effectiveness and contribution to the Company’s mid‑term plans.

Qualifications

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/Accountant (CIMA or international equivalent, ACCA, ACA), educated to degree level.
  • Extensive planning and business partnering experience within an IT and Professional Services/Consultancy sectors within a comparable size organisation.
  • Proven successful finance transformation assignment – ideally in a commercial environment.
  • Able to build strong collaborative relationships across the business and all levels.
  • Advanced know‑how of reporting, budgeting and forecasting, planning and budgeting for both opco and regional process.
  • Strong commercial thought and foresight.
  • IT literate including intermediate to advanced Excel.
  • Innovative, self‑motivational.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse and validate financial and performance data.
  • Comfortable communicating performance and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply persuasive influence with key stakeholders.
  • Adaptive to work in a growth and evolving environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Good time management skills.
