Role: Electronic Test Engineer

Location: Fareham

Duration: 6 months (likely extensions)

Rate: £27.50/hour PAYE

Holiday entitlement – 25 day per annum (accrued) + pension scheme

Shift pattern: 2pm – 10:30pm Mon – Thurs and 11am to 4pm Friday

Responsibilities

  • The Ideal candidate must be motivated to learn and routinely practice excellent calibration techniques, you will need to complete work according to business instructions, specifications and procedure.
  • Competent in reading drawings, conducting a variety of verification tests and calibration on electronic and electromechanical equipment with the use of a range of common electronics measurement equipment and specialist type equipment such as Pressure controllers, and ideally possess skills around basic engineering competencies, fine assembly, calibration and test procedures.

Qualifications

  • Sets up and operates equipment to test/calibrate units/sub-assemblies as per instructions, specifications, and procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis of analogue and digital circuitry to component level.
  • Provide detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Carry out production/repair/assembly work as required within multiple departments on this site.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follows company safety policies.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, the ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in the use of electronic test equipment, hand tools, power tools and electric soldering.
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams.
  • Ability to analyse and determine methods and procedures.
  • Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications.
