An exciting opportunity has opened to join a growing, forward‑thinking company as an Accounts Assistant. Working in a team, the main duties of this role will be to complete invoicing, credit control and purchase ledger duties. Although the role is finance focused, candidates are not necessarily required to have previous experience in this area as training can be given. You will need to be an experienced administrator and have confident skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 09:00am‑17:30pm, and the salary is £26,000 per annum.
Responsibilities
- Issue daily sales invoices and credit notes.
- Take online payments.
- Resolve financial queries.
- Support other divisions through issuing credit notes, invoices and management of stock levels.
- Allocate customer receipts and supplier invoices, posting as required.
- Answer incoming calls and resolve queries.
- Support credit control and purchase ledger activities.
Requirements
- Great attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong teamwork and willingness to support other staff members.
- Reliability and discretion.
- Computer literacy and basic numeracy.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and Outlook.
- Previous experience in credit control or an accounts office is advantageous but not essential.
