Opportunity
We are looking for two Non‑Executive Directors to join our Board and help shape the future of gymnastics across the UK. Applicants should bring significant experience in commercial leadership and/or digital transformation. Prior sport experience is not required – the focus is on thoughtful, independent judgment and a commitment to making gymnastics inclusive, safe, and welcoming.
In this role, you will:
- Contribute to strategic discussions and informed Board decisions
- Provide constructive challenge and support to the executive team
- Help strengthen governance, risk oversight, welfare and safety
- Act as an ambassador for British Gymnastics and its values
- Support Board committees where your experience can add value
Key Requirements
- Significant experience in commercial leadership and/or digital transformation
- Sound judgment, integrity and a commitment to openness and accountability
- Understanding of, or willingness to develop knowledge of, the legal duties and responsibilities of company directors
- Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively and work collaboratively with others
- Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, welfare and safeguarding
- Capacity to prepare for and attend Board and committee meetings, and to engage with stakeholders when needed
Additional Information
Time commitment: Board and committee meetings, preparation time and stakeholder engagement as required.
Remuneration: £250 per day / £125 per half day for Board meetings, plus expenses.
Location: Board meetings are held in person, usually at the NEC Crowne Plaza or Lilleshall, Shropshire, and online.
