Regional Grounds Manager – Birmingham

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Regional Grounds Manager to join our team. You will oversee the grounds management operations across multiple golf courses in the region, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Create annual work plans for the grounds maintenance team and ensure these plans are carried out.
• Work with the Grounds Team in formulating projects relating to course improvements.
• Ensure cross‑team coordination and collaborative working to drive up the quality of services delivered across the golf and leisure sites.
• Oversee, manage and supervise all course machinery, irrigation and drainage systems, and ensure general green maintenance is carried out, including the control of weed, pests and disease.
• Work with all suppliers to ensure the Region receives the best service from these suppliers.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Green Keeping, or industry equivalent Pesticide Application PA1, PA2a, PA6 and Chain saw certification.
• At least 3–5 years’ experience of golf course maintenance and construction.
• In‑depth knowledge of grounds equipment, grounds maintenance and horticulture.
• Proof of attainment of qualifications.
• Evidence of right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, if required for the role.
