Position Overview
The role is a part‑time Teaching Assistant, working 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm) during term time plus five INSET days (39 working weeks per year / 45.05 paid weeks). The position is permanent, commencing September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers to provide high‑quality support for pupils.
- Assist children’s learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day.
- Support individuals, small groups and whole classes as required.
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment for all children.
Qualifications
- Level2 qualification relevant to supporting teaching and learning.
- Experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
Employment Details
- Part‑time – 30 hours per week.
- Term time only plus 5 INSET days.
- Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
Salary
Grade4 (SCP6-7) salary range: £25,989 – £26,403 per annum pro rata. Pro rata salary for 30 hours per week: £18,205.72 – £18,495.73 per annum.
