Teaching Assistant
Icknield Community College, an 11-16 comprehensive school in the Oxfordshire town of Watlington, is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable teaching assistant to support learners in the school from Sept 2026.
The successful candidate will work 27.50 hours per week, 8.30am to 3pm, term time only (this incorporates an unpaid break of an hour per day, consisting of 20 minutes for a morning break and 40 minutes for lunch). The post is term time only and is paid at £25,185- £25,583 pro rata (the actual salary would be £15,658.81 – £15,906.27). The candidate will assist the teaching staff in advancing students’ learning, deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, and support student aspirations and potential.
Variable Hours Policy
This position is subject to a variable hours clause where the contracted hours can be reduced by a third.
