Job Summary

You will support Alice after school and on alternate weekends, encouraging fun, meaningful activities at home and in the community while providing personal care, mobility support, and following epilepsy management plans. The role also includes record keeping and incorporating physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and later music therapy into daily routines. Full training is provided, and Alice’s mum is always nearby for support.

Responsibilities

Support Alice after school and on alternate weekends, providing personal care, mobility support, and following epilepsy management plans. Record keeping and incorporation of therapy sessions into daily routines.

Encourage fun, meaningful activities at home and in the community.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience supporting epilepsy and working within a family home.
  • Comfortable around large dogs and other pets.
  • Non-smoker/vaper.
  • Female applicant.
  • Own car required.
  • Start date ASAP; availability 2/3/4 afternoons Monday‑Thursday 4pm‑9pm, plus alternate Saturday or Sunday 9am‑9pm.

  • Salary: £20.20 weekdays, £22.20 weekends, up to £27,934.00+ gross per annum for 4 afternoons and alternate weekend day.

About Alice

Alice, 15, is a fun‑loving teenager with an acquired brain injury, epilepsy, a learning disability, hearing loss, and a movement disorder affecting all four limbs. She uses an electric wheelchair outdoors, communicates in short sentences, and benefits from clear, simple communication. She lives with her family and many pets.
