Senior Project Manager – Water & Environment (UK Wide)

Responsibilities
You will lead the delivery of water and environmental projects and programmes of varying scale and complexity, taking accountability for schedules, budgets, resources, and risk management. You will serve as the primary client contact, building trusted relationships and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
Operating in a complex delivery environment, you will drive performance, encourage agile ways of working, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare legislation. You will manage projects under various contract forms, particularly NEC3 and NEC4, and support both successful delivery and business growth. You will lead multidisciplinary teams with confidence, delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
By mentoring junior team members and promoting continuous improvement, you will strengthen project management capability and contribute to a culture of excellence. When required you will step into Project Executive roles, providing strategic oversight, strong stakeholder engagement, and delivery leadership at both operational and executive levels.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven project management experience across a range of multidisciplinary projects (Infrastructure, Water, Design and Build)
- Strong leadership experience managing teams and driving delivery performance
- Demonstrable expertise in project planning, risk management, budget and resource management, and contract management
- Degree in engineering, environmental sciences, project management, or a related discipline
- Project Management Qualifications: APM PMQ, Prince 2 APM ChPP, NEC ECC PM (Desirable)
