We are looking to recruit a Self‑Employed Group Exercise Instructor to join our team. Our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. As a self‑employed professional, you will manage your own schedule and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality group exercise classes (e.g., HIIT, strength training, yoga, Pilates, spin, dance fitness)
• Adapt sessions to suit varying fitness levels and individual needs
• Ensure all classes are conducted safely, following health and safety guidelines
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage retention
• Stay up to date with fitness trends, techniques, and industry standards

Requirements

• Relevant fitness qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Gym Instructor or Group Exercise Certification or equivalent)
• Public liability insurance (required for self‑employed status)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and engage groups of varying sizes and abilities
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals

Desirable Skills

• Experience delivering multiple class formats
• Existing client base or following
• Social media marketing skills
• Additional specialist certifications (e.g., pre/postnatal fitness, nutrition coaching)
