We are now looking to expand our test programming team and have various pathways available for the right candidates. This role requires someone who can work to deadlines and has the ability to use their own initiative.
Job Title: Electronic Test Engineer

Location: Woodend Industrial Estate, L24
Position Details: Permanent, starting immediately. Hours: 37.5 Hours per week; Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00, Friday 08:30 to 14:30. Starting Salary: TBC.
Responsibilities
- Write and debug software for the test of electronics circuit boards.
- Communicate with customers throughout production of their product.
- Design test fixtures with support from technical department.
- Liaise with fixture production staff to ensure a quality product and debug application software.
- Training will be provided.
Job Specification
- Advise designers and manufacturers of electronic circuit boards on the most suitable test strategy for new boards.
- Have a thorough knowledge of analog and digital electronics down to component level, and be able to read board schematics and complex datasheets.
- Be able to design test software to verify the manufacture of electronic circuit boards using different in‑circuit test platforms, including Keysight and Teradyne.
- Write test vectors to prove the functionality of complex digital circuitry and program devices.
- Carry out inspection and modification of test fixture hardware.
- Prove and debug test software against working boards, diagnosing test failures down to component level.
- Visit and support manufacturers of electronic circuit boards with test integration and production start‑up of new products.
- Diagnose and rectify test equipment failures down to card level.
Qualifications
- Ability to multi‑task and work to tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of Electronics.
- Self‑motivation.
- Experience in test engineering or related field is desirable.
