Job Title: Senior Power Electronic Design Engineer

Location: Hertfordshire

The aim of the role is to create new design concepts to solve customer challenges and deliver products into production, while reviewing and optimizing existing products. The group is led by an experienced technical team.

The culture is collaborative and friendly, with ample opportunity to liaise with the engineering team, quality, projects, procurement, sales, and other departments, and occasional customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineering of high‑power switch mode power supplies (SMPS)
• Develop, capture, and review system‑level power requirements
• Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium
• Apply manufacturing techniques, processes, and mechanical assembly understanding
• Create or assist in technical specifications, drawings, reports, instructions, and testing
• Document verification and compliance activities
• Understand manufacturing and MRP/ERP systems

Qualifications

Current roles include SMPS design engineer, PSU design engineer, power electronics engineer, or electronics engineer with a bias towards power electronics.
