Forever Education is partnered with a high‑achieving secondary school in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire who are looking for a Music and Art Technician to join them from September 2026. This is a full‑time 1‑year fixed‑term contract starting in September 2026, directly employed by the school, with a possibility to become permanent.
As a Music and Art Technician you will support both staff and students by preparing resources, materials and equipment, and contributing to the smooth organisation and delivery of high‑quality Music and Art lessons. You will work closely with Curriculum Leaders and teaching staff to provide technical, logistical and administrative support across both departments, manage and maintain resources, prepare practical learning environments and ensure lessons are well‑equipped to support effective teaching and learning. Additionally you will give practical assistance to students when required, helping to enhance engagement, participation and progress within lessons.

Job Description
- Set up of equipment and preparing resources for lessons, coursework, exams and events.
- Organisation of equipment, distribution and storage within departments.
- Assisting teachers in lessons in the delivery and deployment of resources.
- Auditing equipment and resources.
- Instructing students on use of equipment.
- Ordering equipment and consulting on new purchases.
- Upkeep of displays.
- Liaising with teachers and peripatetic staff around needs and requirements.
- Potential repair and upkeep of equipment including cleaning (art) when required.
- Assisting students with the use of specific software such as GarageBand.
- Administrative support.
Person Details
- Ability to prepare resources and equipment efficiently for multiple lessons across art and music.
- Strong organisational skills for managing stock, storage, displays and departmental resources.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines during busy periods.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Enthusiastic about supporting creative subjects.
