Pay rate up to £38.00ph.3 month contract but likely reviewed. Flexible hybrid working arrangements. An accommodation/commuter allowance of £150 per week is offered for candidates who fall within the agreed eligibility guidelines. Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated social worker to deliver an effective social work service to children with disabilities and their families, informed by current research, legislation and departmental policy.
Responsibilities
- Assess the need and identify services that will enhance the life of the disabled child and their family.
- Provide services that minimise the effects of the disability so that the child can reach their full potential.
- Work in partnership with the child’s family to enable parents/carers to continue to meet the needs of their child while alleviating some of the stress that may involve.
- Attend various panels in order to advocate for young people who require a residential placement or who require a direct payment to help support their care.
Qualifications
- Social Work England registered.
- Driver with access to own car.
- Able to reside and work in the UK.
