Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist

Maternity Cover until 31st August 2027

Salary: Band A Point 1 – 6 (£20,975.39- £22,450.61 actual salary per annum)

37 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm; Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm; 30‑minute unpaid break for lunch)

38 weeks of the year – term time plus INSET days

Start Date: September 2026

Thames Park Secondary School is seeking a friendly, organised, and dedicated Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff. As a valued member of our administrative team, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth school operations while providing excellent customer service.

Thames Park Secondary School is a member of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust. All schools in the Trust work in equal partnership and are members of the Schools’ Co-operative Society.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Support Manager and will be:

  • Welcoming visitors and handling telephone enquiries
  • Managing school communications with parents
  • Assisting with clerical tasks such as sorting mail and distributing letters
  • Using the school management information systems (Bromcom) for administrative support
  • Communicating with parents using current systems
  • Providing general clerical support as required

The successful candidate will:

  • Be passionate, motivated, and have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to multitask and stay calm under pressure and remain positive
  • Have GCSE Maths & English – 4-9 or equivalent and strong IT skills
  • Have excellent written skills with the ability to multitask
