Family Support Workers

We are seeking three proactive and compassionate Family Support Worker practitioners with experience of working with children, young people and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and deliver effective Early Help interventions.
• Engage families and support them to achieve sustainable change.
• Work in partnership with multi‑agency professionals.
• Manage a varied caseload and lead meetings.
• Carry out safeguarding activities and use strong safeguarding knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records and manage communication.
• Travel across the borough as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience of working with children, young people and families.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to lead meetings and support families to achieve sustainable change.
• Willingness and ability to travel across the borough.

Location

Based within Dudley’s Best Start Family Hubs. The role is part of an integrated early help offer to support families at the right time and place.
