Secondary School IT Teacher – September Start

An exciting opportunity is available for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic IT Teacher to join a supportive and well-established secondary school in Trafford, Manchester from September 2026. This is a full-time position, ideal for a passionate educator committed to delivering engaging and innovative computing and IT lessons.

You will play a key role in developing students’ confidence in programming, problem-solving, and the responsible use of technology, helping to prepare them for further education and future careers in a digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging IT and Computing lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach a range of topics, including digital literacy, programming, and computer science fundamentals
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Contribute to departmental development and whole-school initiatives
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A degree or specialism in IT, Computing, or a related subject
  • Experience teaching IT/Computing at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Strong subject knowledge, including programming and digital systems
  • Effective classroom management and organisational skills
  • A commitment to pupil progress and high educational standards
  • The ability to commute to or be based in Trafford, Manchester
