  • A strong software engineering background and comfort engaging with technology, architecture, and technical trade‑offs.
  • Strong ownership of team health, delivery and product outcomes.
  • The ability to create clarity and momentum in ambiguous or evolving problem spaces.
  • A collaborative leadership style, with empathy, clear communication and the ability to work through disagreement constructively.

  • Account protection: takeover prevention, suspicious login detection, credential stuffing prevention, risk‑based authentication, etc.
  • Bot and scraping mitigation: bot detection, scraping prevention, abuse prevention, rate limiting.
  • Edge‑layer protection: Cloudflare Bot Management, WAF, Turnstile, etc.
  • Reliable production systems: observability, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, experimentation, incident learning.

Benefits

  • 25 days annual leave with the option to carry over up to 5 days.
  • Impact hours: up to 2 days of additional paid leave per year for volunteering.
  • A 4‑week paid sabbatical after 5 years of consecutive service.
  • Health + mental wellbeing: cash‑plan or PMI, subsidised counselling and coaching, cycle‑to‑work scheme, employee assistance programme, mental health first aiders.
  • Parenting: 18 weeks paid parental leave (birth or adoption), IVF leave, shared parental leave, paid emergency parent/carer leave.
  • Learning budget, conferences, training workshops.
  • Pension match up to 6% of qualifying earnings.
  • Life insurance: compensation 3× salary.
  • Extra perks: in‑office Depop shop (free!), packing station with free delivery, gifts and rewards for milestones.
