We’renow looking for a Senior Designer to join our Accessorize design team. The role will providing vision and design direction for all product categories;initiatingand managing the critical path and creative design development across the collection that is cohesive; contributing to the overall Brand Strategy tomaintainbrand and range evolution in line with businessobjectives.

What will you do as a Senior Designer?

Planning and Design:

  • Identifyseasonal trends asappropriate forthe Accessorizebrandincluding key fashion profiles,colours, fabrications and ‘must haves’ for the season. Contribute to and oversee strong and new reference material including industry knowledge and research for the department to use throughout the season. Ensure identified trends are actioned through to sign off stage.
  • Oversee,directand produce design briefs within your area, ensuring the teammaintaina professional standard of briefs relevant to the Accessorize handwriting
  • Present at reviews and theme presentations
  • Regularly review best practice and ways of working to achieve highest standard of design
  • Ensure all designs are delivered in line with company strategy
  • Create unique designs that deliver newness and commerciality
  • Manage and lead appointments, contribute to support management of budget

Critical Path Management:

  • Manage and drive departments critical path to support Creative Director, highlighting any areas of concern or opportunity
  • Ensure all designs are up to company standards and are communicated to suppliers in line with the critical path

People and Talent Management:

  • Plan induction for new employees
  • Support Creative Director ensure company/department information is communicated effectively to team through weekly huddles, team meetings etc.
  • Coach and Develop team members
  • Identifyteam training needs

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure a safe working environment bycomplying withHealth and Safety Guidelines andtake action to dealwith any issues

Whatyou willneed to succeed as a Senior Designer?

  • Experienced designer with creative and technical ability to design multi-product collections and accessories(hair, travel, lifestyle, cold weather accessories, seasonal gifting)
  • Experienced in embellished and embroidery
  • Expeirence working with suppliers in India
  • Experience in development across multi-regional supply base
  • Collaborative approach to range development with a strong understanding of buying,merchandisingand technical functions
