Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience.
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2–3 days per week on-site, dependent on current project classification.
Security clearance: British Citizen able to achieve DV required. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Network Architect to contribute to projects in the UK and across MBDA’s wider group. The role involves designing network architectures within highly secure environments, managing the full project lifecycle from inception to delivery, and influencing the group’s move towards cloud services. Typical duties include chairing technical design meetings, pitching concept designs to information security colleagues, and aligning with network operations, back office, information security, applications and SOC teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve network architecture for secure environments across multiple countries.
- Lead and coordinate technical/design meetings across national operations teams.
- Collaborate with Information Security, network operations, back office, applications and SOC colleagues to achieve and maintain operational accreditation.
- Provide technical leadership for local and national projects, including non‑standard and cross‑border initiatives.
- Advocate for and implement cloud‑based networking solutions where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Strong network architecture and design skills with a bias towards network security systems.
- Experience working with classified information within the UK and/or NATO member countries.
- Ability to coordinate and chair technical/design meetings.
- Comfort working in an international and multi‑cultural context.
- Experience collaborating with internal customers, business analysts and cross‑functional teams.
