Bennett & Game are pleased to be representing a leading UK scaffolding and access contractor based in Wednesbury, who are seeking a Sales Estimator to join their growing team.
This position would suit a confident and commercially minded salesperson who is comfortable working the phones, developing client relationships and generating new enquiries. Previous scaffolding or estimating experience is not essential, as full training can be provided on the company’s services, pricing and estimating processes.
The successful candidate will focus primarily on identifying sales opportunities, following up leads, speaking with clients and attending face‑to‑face meetings. As their knowledge develops, they will also support the preparation of quotations and pricing for scaffolding projects across a range of sectors.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, client contact and relationship building
- Follow up warm leads and convert enquiries into live opportunities
- Contact existing and prospective clients to discuss upcoming project requirements
- Attend client meetings and site visits where required
- Build strong relationships with contractors, developers and other construction professionals
- Prepare quotations and assist with pricing scaffolding works
- Review drawings, specifications and tender information with support from the wider team
- Liaise with operational teams regarding labour, materials, transport and programme requirements
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sales and quotation process
- Support repeat business through account management and ongoing relationship development
- Maintain accurate records of leads, enquiries, quotations and follow‑up activity
Qualifications
- Previous experience within sales, business development, account management or a client‑facing commercial role
- Confident generating enquiries through outbound calls and proactive sales activity
- Strong communication skills both over the phone and face‑to‑face
- Commercially minded with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Comfortable attending meetings and representing the business professionally
- Motivated to learn scaffolding pricing and estimating
- Experience within scaffolding, access, temporary works, construction or engineering would be advantageous but is not essential
- Estimating, quotation or pricing experience would be beneficial but full training can be provided
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and follow‑up actions
- Full UK driving licence
