Location: Hinkley Point C, SomersetWorking Pattern: Flexible shift patterns available: 5/2, 10/4 or 11/3Industry: Nuclear / Major InfrastructureDay Rate: £400 p/d PAYE + 36 days leave / £540 p/d Umbrella + Shift Allowance

The Role

As Construction Delivery Manager, you will work closely with contractors, logistics, project controls, quality, HSE and wider delivery teams to coordinate daily construction activities across your allocated work area. You will maintain a visible presence on site, reinforce daily delivery plans, identify issues before they impact programme, and make confident decisions to keep construction moving safely. This is a collaborative yet autonomous role requiring someone organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of site delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day coordination of construction activities within your allocated area.
  • Support Tier 1 contractors and delivery partners in achieving programme milestones.
  • Monitor site activities and maintain accurate construction reporting.
  • Identify safety, quality or programme risks and implement practical solutions.
  • Coordinate with HSE, Quality, Logistics, Project Controls and Commercial teams.
  • Attend and facilitate daily planning meetings, including PLOD/PLOW meetings.
  • Reinforce shift plans and ensure work fronts are prepared.
  • Undertake site inspections and assurance activities.
  • Escalate issues appropriately while driving timely resolution.
  • Maintain strong communication with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager and wider delivery team.
  • Promote the highest standards of health, safety and quality across all activities.

  • Major Civil Engineering
  • MEH Construction

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience managing construction delivery on major projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and workface planning.
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors and disciplines.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience producing daily reports and communicating with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to make confident decisions and take ownership.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving site environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • SMSTS or IOSH.
  • Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
