Hydraulic Technician – Aberdeen

KBM Resourcing are working with a leading engineering co, specialising in offshore handling and deployment equipment who are recruiting for an experienced Hydraulic Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business supporting the energy sector.

Role Overview

You will be involved in the build, maintenance, and testing of hydraulic systems used in offshore equipment, including winches, A-frames, tensioners, and handling systems. The role is primarily workshop-based, with potential involvement in rig testing and mobilisation scopes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly, maintenance and overhaul of hydraulic systems on offshore equipment
• Fault finding and diagnostics on hydraulic circuits, pumps, valves and control systems
• Testing and commissioning of equipment such as winches, lifting systems and deployment frames
• Interpreting hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with quality and HSEQ standards

Requirements

• Previous experience working with hydraulic systems in an oil & gas, subsea or marine environment
• Strong understanding of high‑pressure hydraulic circuits and components
• Experience working on large‑scale or heavy engineering equipment (e.g. winches, cranes, or similar systems)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Proactive approach with strong fault‑finding capability

Package

• Salary: £42,000 – £47,000
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
• 38 hours per week: 0730 to 1600 Mon to Thurs, 1400 finish on a Friday
