Role Overview
We are seeking a committed specialist in nuclear medicine to lead and develop our nuclear medicine department in partnership with an incumbent nuclear medicine physician.
The position is a replacement post covering adult and paediatric cases, including subspecialty oncology nuclear medicine and cardiac scans. Plans are underway to install a new digital PET/CT scanner by Alliance on the BRI site within the next 12–18 months, serving both paediatric and adult PET/CT needs for Bristol and the surrounding region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nuclear medicine imaging services across all patient groups.
- Lead departmental initiatives and collaborate with the nuclear medicine physician.
- Support the implementation of the new digital PET/CT scanner.
- Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- ARSAC licence or a demonstrable plan to obtain an ARSAC licence upon appointment.
- Specialist interest in nuclear medicine with experience in adult and paediatric imaging.
- Subspecialty experience in oncology, whole body MRI, or gynecological imaging is welcomed but not essential.
- Strong clinical leadership and teamwork skills.
