Mechanical Supervisor

AVRS is looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to lead mechanical fitters on high‑quality water treatment projects across the Thames & Anglian Water region and North East England. The role requires site‑based work, frequent travel and is part of a team that supports long‑term projects within the Water Treatment Sector.

What you will be doing:

• Supervise a team of mechanical fitters to deliver works safely, on time and to the highest standards.
• Ensure installations comply with specifications and AVRS mechanical safety rules.
• Promote and engage with AVRS’s positive safety culture.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation and encourage best practices.
• Guarantee installations meet contract requirements and quality plans.
• Coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.
• Collaborate effectively within a growing team.

About You:

Essential

• SSSTS or equivalent
• Ability to manage own workload and project tasks with minimal supervision
• Relevant trade qualification
• Strong industrial experience
• CSCS or CCNSG card
• Emergency First Aid or First Aider certification
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• EUSR Water Hygiene
• Experience in the Water Industry
• PASMA / IPAF / Confined Space certification
• Fitness‑to‑work medical
