Counter Associate – ‘The Ordinary’ – Selfridges, Birmingham

We are looking for a flexible customer service-oriented Sales Assistant, known at DECIEM as Counter Associate, to join our “extraOrdinary” team in Selfridges, Birmingham and deliver memorable experiences to our customers.

Position Details

• 22.5‑hour per week• Part‑time

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with enthusiasm and professionalism, reflecting DECIEM’s vision through excellent service.
• Determine customers’ needs and suggest relevant products by actively listening and applying product knowledge gained in brand training.
• Ensure that standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met.
• Deliver unparalleled customer service, educating customers about the world of beauty, skin care, DECIEM brands, and products.
• Manage customer feedback and queries.
• Maintain counter cleanliness and organization.
• Assist in applying DECIEM’s merchandising concepts and ensure tidiness standards are respected.
• Process product refunds and address customer issues positively.
• Build meaningful relationships with department managers and clients, maintaining high‑standard communication.

Skills and Qualifications

• Comfortable engaging customers and consulting on product application.
• Ability to multi‑task while maintaining professional customer service.
• Desire to spread brand awareness.
• Effective time management and communication skills.
