WebMethods Architect | WebMethods Developer – WebMethods Upgrade Expert

We are seeking an experienced WebMethods Architect to lead the modernization and upgrade of enterprise WebMethods platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in WebMethods Integration Suite, including API Gateway, Trading Networks, and Universal Messaging, with a proven track record in designing and implementing hybrid integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end upgrade and migration of WebMethods Integration Suite (e.g., from 9.x to 10.x).
• Define architecture, integration patterns, performance tuning strategies, and security frameworks.
• Conduct impact assessments and ensure minimal downtime during platform upgrades.
• Design and implement hybrid cloud integrations using WebMethods with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and deploy integration services, API Gateway policies, and B2B/EDI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and best practices guidance to development teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and security issues.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Optimize platform configurations for scalability, high availability, and reliability.
• Ensure adherence to SOA governance and security compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience with WebMethods Integration Suite, API Gateway, and B2B solutions.
• Hands-on experience upgrading WebMethods from version 9.x to 10.x or later.
• Proficient in Integration Server, Trading Networks, Universal Messaging, and API Gateway.
• Experience with CI/CD automation, DevOps tools, and cloud deployment of WebMethods.
• Expertise in designing and securing SOAP/REST APIs with governance policies.
• Strong performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system optimization skills.
• Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architectures, and hybrid integrations.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• WebMethods certification (e.g., Software AG Certified Integration Professional).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native integration platforms.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP integration services.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
